My Story: Why I Believe in MY"SHRINK YOURSELF" Method
Hi, I'm Tera Smith, and like many of you, I've struggled with weight for much of my life. In my early years, I was quite athletic, but as I got older and life became busier, old habits caught up with me. I didn't truly understand how much I was supposed to eat, when I should eat, and I became an emotional eater on top of everything else.
I spent a lot of my life trying highly restrictive diets and had some temporary success a few times, particularly with the keto approach. However, inevitably, I got tired of the deprivation. Since I still hadn't learned how to deal with my core eating issues, I gained all the weight back plus more.
The Turning Point: Finding a Sustainable Path
In September 2024, I saw a series of videos online that talked about taking a slow and moderate approach. This slower, measured method was designed to build lasting habits and allow time to relearn how to listen to our bodies, rather than using food as an emotional crutch. I was skeptical, but I decided to give it a try.
The outcome was amazing. Just by eating in moderation (without depriving myself of my favorite foods) and getting more active (mostly just walking), I lost 70lbs in just over a year.
